Have these to hand
- A player with an Xtream Codes, Xtream API or similar login option

Still waiting for login details? A 24-hour trial costs nothing, or you can compare the plans first.
The walkthrough
Decide whether your player wants Xtream or M3U
Look at the player’s add-account screen before touching the details. If it lists Xtream Codes, Xtream API or simply API, use that: the guide, catch-up and on-demand sections come through automatically. If it only offers a playlist URL, as VLC, Kodi’s simple client and Smart IPTV do, use the M3U link from the same message and follow the M3U guide instead.
Read the server address as three parts
The server field looks like http://example.com:8080. It has a scheme, http://, a host name, and a port, which is the number after the colon. All three are required, and nothing follows the port: no slash, no path, no username. If your player splits host and port into separate boxes, the number goes in the port box on its own.
Copy the details without hidden characters
Messaging apps sometimes add a space at the end of a line or turn an address into a formatted link. Long-press to copy only the text, or type the details by hand. On a television, a phone remote app or USB keyboard helps, but check its layout: a German, Austrian or Swiss QWERTZ keyboard swaps Y and Z, and French AZERTY moves A, Q, M and the colon, so a password can change without any visible sign.
Enter the username and password
Both are case sensitive. A capital letter typed in lower case produces an error that looks exactly like a wrong password. The profile or playlist name some players ask for is only a label, so name it after the room or the person who watches there. Some players show the password as dots while you type; if yours offers an eye icon to reveal it, use it before saving.
Save and let the player sync
Once saved, the player downloads the channel list, the on-demand library and the guide data. Large lists take a minute or two the first time, and later syncs are much quicker because only changes are fetched. Let it finish before browsing, and check the device’s time zone at this point so the guide lines up with your clock.
Keep the details somewhere safe
Keep the activation message, or store the three details in a password manager. Adding a device later, whether a new television or a laptop for a trip, then takes a minute. Never post screenshots of the login on social media or in forums, because anyone holding them can use your connections.
Understand what counts as a connection
The same login can sit on many devices, but your plan allows a set number of streams at the same time. If a stream stops the moment someone starts watching in another room, that limit is the reason, and a plan with more connections is the fix. Signing out of devices that are not playing makes no difference, because only streams that are actually running count.
When it does not go to plan
Authentication fails even though you checked the password
Work through the three usual slips in order: a missing port, wrong capitalisation, and a keyboard layout that swapped letters. Then retype everything rather than pasting it.
The server cannot be reached
Try another device on the same network. If both fail, restart the router. If only one fails, look for a trailing slash or space in that device’s server field. A content filter switched on in your broadband account can also block unfamiliar addresses, so check its settings if everything else is correct.
Live channels load but films and series are missing
The player may have added the account as a playlist rather than an Xtream login. Remove it and add it again using the Xtream option, and the on-demand sections should appear after the sync.
Guide hours are one or two hours out
The player shows guide times in the device’s time zone. A device left on UK time in Athens runs two hours behind the wall clock. Fix the device zone first, and use a player’s EPG time shift only if the clock is right and one source is still off.
The login works in one app but not another
Some older or abandoned players use an outdated way of requesting data. Use an actively maintained player such as TiViMate or IPTV Smarters.
The first letter of the password keeps turning into a capital
Phone keyboards and some television keyboards capitalise the first character of a field automatically. If your password begins with a lower-case letter, check that first character after typing, and correct it before saving.
The player says the account has expired
Check the end date in your latest activation message. If the plan has been renewed, the details may have changed with it, so compare all three fields with the newest message rather than an older one saved on the device.

Questions about Xtream Codes login
Do I need to buy something called Xtream Codes?
No. Xtream Codes API is simply the format the login uses. Your Euroskara plan provides a login in that format, and nothing else needs buying.
How does the Xtream login differ from the M3U link?
They open the same account. The Xtream login is three separate fields and brings the guide and library automatically. The M3U link folds the same details into one long address, which suits players that only accept playlists.
Can I change my password?
Ask support on WhatsApp. After a change, update the password on every device that uses the login.
Why does the address start with http rather than https?
Many streaming servers use plain http on a specific port for compatibility with older players and set-top boxes. Enter the scheme exactly as your message shows it.
Is the same login used for the MAG portal?
MAG boxes use a portal address linked to the box’s MAC instead of the three Xtream details. Formuler boxes can use either. The MAG and Formuler guide explains both routes.
Will the login work in a holiday home elsewhere in the EU?
Yes, the three details work on any internet connection. Guide times follow the device clock, so a phone or laptop that updates its time zone automatically shows local times wherever you are staying.
What is the port number actually for?
It tells the player which service on the server to connect to. Different servers use different ports, which is why the number has to be copied exactly and never guessed or left off.
Can I use the login on an operator’s TV box?
Only if that box can install a player with an Xtream option, which depends on whether it runs Android TV with a full app store. Many operator boxes in Europe do not, and a separate streamer is then the easier route.
Can the same login go on a friend’s television?
Only within the connections your plan includes, and every stream played on it counts against your own limit. It is usually simpler for a friend to take a trial or plan of their own.
