Most likely causes
- The feed uses AC3, EAC3 or Dolby audio that the device passes through, but the TV or box is not set to send it to something that can decode it, so the video plays silently.
- The audio output is set to a passthrough or auto mode that a connected soundbar or the TV panel cannot handle, so nothing comes out.
- The 4K or UHD version of a channel carries a surround track the device skips, while the HD version carries a standard stereo one.
- The player is using a decoder that does not handle that audio track, or an audio track other than the default is needed.
- A temporary glitch left the audio muted after quick channel changes, or the volume is routed to the wrong output.
Fixes, in the order to try them
Rule out the obvious first. Check the device and TV are not muted and the volume is up, then open a different channel. If sound returns elsewhere, the first stream is the issue and you can jump to the HD step; if every channel is silent, continue with the audio settings.
Set the device audio output to PCM or stereo. On Google TV and Android TV open Settings then Device Preferences then Display and Sound then Advanced sound settings, and set the digital or surround output to PCM or stereo rather than auto or passthrough. This forces the device to decode the audio itself and is the most common fix for Dolby or AC3 feeds that play silently.
Match a connected soundbar or receiver. If sound runs through a soundbar or AV receiver over HDMI or optical, set both the device and that unit to a matching format, or switch output back to the TV speakers to confirm where the silence is introduced.
Try the HD feed. Open the SD or HD version of the same channel rather than the 4K or UHD entry. If HD has sound and 4K does not, the 4K feed is carrying a surround track the device skips, which is a stream limitation rather than a fault.
Switch the audio track or decoder in the player. Some players let you pick the audio track on a stream or change the audio decoder; if the channel offers more than one track, choose an alternate, or switch between hardware and software audio decoding.
Restart the app and the device. Close the player fully, power the box or TV off for thirty seconds, then reopen the app. This clears a stuck audio state or a mute left over after fast channel changes.
If picture plays but audio stays silent on every channel even on PCM and on the HD feeds, note which channels and message the Euroskara desk on WhatsApp so we can check whether those feeds are affected.

IPTV no sound on Google TV FAQ
Why does the picture work but there is no sound?
Usually the audio track is in a format like Dolby, AC3 or EAC3 that the device passes through without anything to decode it. Setting the audio output to PCM or stereo makes the device decode it, which restores sound on most affected channels.
Where is the audio output setting on Google TV?
Go to Settings, Device Preferences, Display and Sound, then Advanced sound settings, and set the digital or surround output to PCM or stereo. The wording varies a little by device and TV brand, but it sits under the sound options.
Only some channels are silent. Is that normal?
It can be. Channels that carry a surround track the device skips play silently while standard stereo ones are fine. Open the HD version of a silent channel and set the output to PCM, and most will play.
Sound works in other apps but not my IPTV player. Why?
Other apps may re-encode audio to a format the device handles, while the IPTV player passes the original track through. The PCM output setting usually bridges that gap, and trying the HD feed covers the rest.
