Most likely causes
- The device has very little free internal storage, so installing or updating a player fails, or the app closes under load once a few apps are installed.
- The player you want is not in the Google TV store on the dongle, so it has to be sideloaded, and an old or phone-only APK misbehaves.
- The playlist, Xtream or M3U URL is wrong, expired or missing its username and password, so the app opens with nothing to play.
- The bundled Google TV remote has no number pad, which makes some players awkward and can look like a channel or entry will not open.
- The dongle is on Wi-Fi only and the signal is weak, so streams buffer or fail, especially in 4K.
Fixes, in the order to try them
Check free storage first. In Settings open System then Storage, or Apps, and see how much internal space is left. Chromecast with Google TV ships with only a few gigabytes, and a nearly full device cannot install or update a player cleanly. Remove apps and clear caches until there is comfortable headroom.
Install the player from the Google TV store where it is listed. A store build is made for the remote and updates itself, which avoids many crashes. Search for your player by name on the device first before assuming you have to sideload it.
If you must sideload, do it properly. Use a trusted file or downloader app to fetch the current APK built for Android TV, allow installs from that source when prompted, and delete any old copy first. A phone-only build often shows controls off-screen or ignores the remote.
Re-enter the playlist details. In the player settings compare the Xtream or M3U URL, and the username and password if used, against what Euroskara sent you. A single wrong character or an expired link leaves the app open but empty.
Work around the remote. The Google TV remote has no number keys, so use the on-screen search, favourites or the app channel list to reach a channel rather than typing its number. Some players also let you pair a phone as a remote if you prefer a keypad.
Steady the connection. Restart the dongle and the router, and move the Chromecast closer to the router or onto the 5 GHz band. Because this device is Wi-Fi only, a weak signal is a common cause of buffering and streams that will not open in 4K.

Why does Chromecast with Google TV run out of space so fast?
The device ships with only a few gigabytes of internal storage, and players plus their caches fill it quickly. Removing apps you do not use and clearing caches in Settings usually frees enough room to install or update your IPTV player again.
Do I have to sideload my IPTV app on Google TV?
Only if it is not in the Google TV store on the device. Search for it there first, since a store build is easier to keep updated. If it is not listed, sideload the current Android TV APK from a trusted source and keep it updated by hand.
The remote has no numbers, so how do I change channel?
